Simplify the square root of the fifth root of 64q^8v^6

Square root equivalent to power 1/2
Fifth root equivalent to power 1/5
square root of fifth root (if argument of square root is positive) is equivalent to power 1/10
64^(1/10)*q^(4/5)*v^(3/5)
using 64=2^6 you get 2^(3/5)*q^(4/5)*v^(3/5)

Whenever I type in a negative number raised to an exponent, the calculator outputs a negative number! even for a question like -2^2. How do I fix this?

You're not raising a negative number to an exponent, you're negating a number raised to an exponent.

If you want to raise -2 to the second power, you need to enter it as
( (-) 2 ) ^ 2

Without the parens, what you're getting is the equivalent of -(2^x)

Write a program that accept a number and output its equivalent in words.

Below is the program written in Turbo C.

#include<stdio.h>
void pw(long,char[]);
char *one[]={" "," one"," two"," three"," four"," five"," six"," seven","
eight"," Nine"," ten"," eleven"," twelve"," thirteen"," fourteen","
fifteen"," sixteen"," seventeen"," eighteen"," nineteen"};
char *ten[]={" "," "," twenty"," thirty"," forty"," fifty"," sixty","
seventy"," eighty"," ninety"};

void main()
{
long n;
clrscr();
printf("
Enter any 9 digit no: ");
scanf("%9ld",&n);
if(n<=0)
printf("Enter numbers greater than 0");
else
{
pw((n/10000000),"crore");
pw(((n/100000)%100),"lakh");
pw(((n/1000)%100),"thousand");
pw(((n/100)%10),"hundred");
pw((n%100)," ");
}
getch();
}

void pw(long n,char ch[])
{
(n>19)?printf("%s %s ",ten[n/10],one[n%10]):printf("%s ",one[n]);
if(n)printf("%s ",ch);
}

I need to put in the number 10 to the negative nine.

Hello,
If you have the [EE] key (sometimes labeled [Exp], or [times 10 to the x], you enter your expression as 1[EE](-9). If you do not have that key you can use the general power key [X to the y] or [Y to the x] or [^] depending on calculator 10[^](-9) = 0.000000001 or equivalently 1.0000x10^(-9)

EE or EXP are shortcuts for times 10 to the power.
Hope it helps.

I need to know the square root of 50y Cubed

Hello,
The question is not clear. What is the value of y?. The calculator cannot help if y is not known. I will give you a few hints for this algebra problem:
1. Taking the square root is equivalent to raising to the 1/2 power.
2. Power of a product is equal to the product of the powers. (X*Y)^a=(X^a) times (Y^a)
3. (X^a)^b =X^ (a*b)

Hope it helps.
