Check around the back for a reset button, this is caused by running the water too low. If there's no reset, there is a part called a "thermal fuse' mounted to the side of the hot water tank to prevent fires. You can replace it; once you get it out, a decent electronics supplier can direct you to the correct replacement. youdoitelectronics.com is a good source.
Contact glacier bay to get a replacement control/handle assembly. Usually their customer service department is good at replacing the parts under warranty
You should have individual cold & hot water supply shut-offs in your basement for your tub/shower; if not, now's the time to install them.
