Freezer compressor does not turn on.

My Frigidaire 19.8 cubit foot chest freezer model FFFC20M4TW stopped working. The light was still on but the freezer was not freezing. I emptied the freezer and let it defrost for two days. The freezer will now click and buzz for a few seconds, five or six, then shut off again. The compressor does not come on at any time. When I first noticed the freezer wasn't working, turning it on and off did nothing. What is the probable issue?

Hello,I defrosted my electrolux chest freezer and now problem is power is on but not freezing, alarm light keeps coming and keeps bleeping every 2 minutes and goes off and on

Is the compressor running? if it is running, but there is no cooling, it is time to buy a new freezer.
If the compressor is NOT running, I would suspect the compressor start relay.
How did you defrost it?

FRIGIDAIRE CHEST FREEZER WILL NOT FREEZE FOOD OR KEEP FROZEN

Hello Cory Mitchell - If your freezer is not cooling, it could have a floating restriction in the lines or something more complicated like an issue with the seal system that only a professional can repair. This can conclude the compressor not working correctly, the evaporator fan not turning, or even coolant in the lines at incorrect levels to properly cool. If the compressor was running, humming or even a little warm then that was typically normal. Also try checking and see if the door seal is bad; place a dollar bill between the body of the freezer and the door. Now close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing. If it proves to be ineffective, connect with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues.

Sear chest freezer stop working model#2539139180

The compressor probably shut off on thermal overload. This protects the compressor from burning up. What has happened is that a capacitor or evaporator has gone bad or it could be low on freon. Have someone take a look at it. However, if it is older than 8-10 years old, consider replacing it. This could be the beginning of the end.

I have a chest freezer model AFFC1526DW2 it stopped freezing. The power light is still on. What could be the problem

the thermostat may not be turning on the compressor.
Do you hear a buzz and or clicking every few minutes when plugged in? If so the compressor is trying to start indicating a problem with the compressor. you could check the windings for continuity or a short and then try a 3-in-1 start kit.

Compressor Stopping

compressor is running overloaded possible problems bad relay/overload /capacitor dirty or clogged condensers if the unit uses a condenser fan suspect a bad fan. and defective thermostats are notorious for short cycling. id check the coils first and if dirty clean up maybe that can be the major problem.
