GE oven jgs968s0h4ss Probe flashes and beeping whenever I cook

There's probably a short that makes the range think that the probe is connected. It could be the probe socket or the control board. Check the socket first since it can be damaged more often. See the parts diagram here: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/ModelSectionParts/JGS968SH6SS/4/0/0/0/BODY_PARTS . The socket is part 594. It's reached by removing the side panel.

I hope this helps.

Why is there a flashing probe display w/beeping?

Usually this is a problem related to the meat probe jack or the wiring to it. If not the cause, next in line is the control board, part number: 8302346. We can rebuild this board for you. See:

Flashing PF 32 error code

Hello - This manufacturer does not show to have such an error code for a wall oven. However the error codes F30/F31 indicates that the unit either has an issue with the oven sensor, wiring with the EOC or the probe connections is open or shorted. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

My probe (PRB) keeps flashing and beeping, how do I make it stop? Thanks!

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.I just had a service call on this issue. If the probe receptacle is clean you may have to replace the control. Try turning off the power for five minutes and see if that works.

Our oven keeps randomly beeping and flashing F10 on the display. [email protected]

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

F10
Runaway Temperature.
1. (F10 only) Check RTD Sensor Probe & replace if necessary. If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive.
2. (F11, 12 & 13) Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power.
3. (F11, 12 & 13) If fault returns upon power-up, replace EOC.

I Have tried to help you. Please help me and rate/vote my response. Thanks and good luck.
