My FoodSaver will not activate when I insert a bag. The accessory unit works fine.

I wonder if the machine does not sense ate presence of a bag. From the beginning this machine seemed to require quite a bit of coaxing to get it to start vacuuming. I thought I just did not know how to do it correctly. Now I think it never worked properly. Is there a way to replace the sensor?

It sounds like you are having some issues with your FoodSaver vacuum sealer. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

  1. Make sure that the FoodSaver is plugged in and turned on.
  2. Check the sealing strip on the vacuum sealer to make sure it is clean and free of debris. A dirty or damaged sealing strip can prevent the vacuum sealer from working properly.
  3. Check the vacuum bag to make sure it is properly positioned in the vacuum sealer. The bag should be inserted with the open end facing the sealing strip.
  4. Make sure that the bag is not too full. Overfilling the bag can prevent the vacuum sealer from working properly.
  5. If the problem persists, you may need to take the FoodSaver to a repair center for further diagnosis and repair.

My vacmaster pro350 lost its suction. The accessory port works but when we try to use a bag it doesn

Hi,

Please make sure that vacuum bag was inserted as directed. And you can double check that the foam gasket is not broken. Page 10 of the product manual should offer you more steps to get your machine's suction back. Thank you.

Foodsaver vac 1050

Perhaps the bags you are using are not suitable. If they are too thin it will not vacuum air out.

Foodsaver V3840 Won't vacuum air out and wont go to seal. A label states the seals are not removable. Do you know how to fix?

you are not using a "good" bag. Make sure there are no holes and that the bottom and sides of the bag are properly sealed. It will run all day and not pull the air out if the seal is broken anywhere.

Why my foos saver is not sealing

I've found with mine I have to hold down firmly on the top while unit is heating the bag to seal it. I continue to hold the lid down for about 10 seconds after heating stops until the seal cools. Hope this helps.

Sounds like the foam seals are leaking. Go to their website to get replacement parts.

It won't seal it doesn't get hot it vacuums ok

There is a heating element in your unit that seals the bags. Most of the units you cannot replace the heating element. The company is pretty good about warrantying the units. They go by the number on the plug to tell if the unit is still in warranty. Give them a call. 877-777-8042

Stopped working, lights work, shows full light when not full.

Remove the bag and put in a fresh bag. Then rotate the dial on top of the vac to the middle position. When cleaning fine dust the vac will shut off before the bag is full as it is sensing a clogged bag and cannot sense proper air flow through the bag. If this persists the sensor under teh top dial may be damaged and need to be replaced
