Hi I'm just wondering can anybody help I have a pure electric E scooter 500-watt I changed the front brake lever and now the back wheel has locked up any ideas

Cant find a reset e scooter not (cell phone)

Try this. Disconnect the battery from 30 to 45 minutes. That is long enough for the capasitors to discharge and it should loose it memory. If that does not work then it is locked by the sevice provider, not on you phone, and you must contact them?

well it most likely the the 5k ohm potenteitometer is bad this is a common ptoblem with pride scooters if you have a screwdriver and can take it apart you can order the part online and it comes with the wire tail on it so it just plugs into the controller board the part costs about 68 dollars from pride depending on what model you have, email me and i could probably walk you through it

What exactly do you mean by "Pulls up"? Is it slowing down quicker than normal like your towing a heavy weight? Are there any new sounds the scooter is making. Comment below with this information please.
Try this. Do this with the engine OFF and the key OUT. Does your scooter have a centre stand? Set it on the centre stand and get a helper to lean on the rear of the scooter to keep the front wheel off the ground. kneel in front of the scooter and spin the front wheel by hand. It should spin easily. Pull ******* the brake lever and try to turn the front wheel. It should not move. Get your helper to move to the front of the scooter to hold the front wheel down and raise the rear wheel. Use the same method as the front to test the brakes. The rear wheel should turn smoothly with only a small amount of resistance from the engine and transmission and only lock solid when you pull ******* the brake lever.

FWD and XHD power chair break releaseTEK FWD and TEK XHD - The brake levers are located on the front of the Power Wheel Chair under the label that reads “Drive” and “Push”. To reset the brakes on the TEK FWD or XHD Power Wheel Chair make sure both levers are pushed to the down position then pull one lever at a time to the full up position.


If the lights on the controller continue to flash make sure the controller is not locked.

Brake system of a scooter
There is a parking brake lever at the back, but if you're talking about stopping the scooter while riding it, there are no separate brakes.
taking your finger off the power lever turns the electric motor into an electric generator which slows and stops the scooter very quickly.

if the wheel lock , then the brake must be faulty, so please clarify does the scooter work okay when you push the forward or reserve lever ?
Remember the brake release when you push the throttle lever by applying 24v to the brake , if the brake does not click then the brake might be faulty or the controller is not outputting24v ,check the wiring and connector from the brake to the controller.

Sounds like your brake freewheel lever is in the wrong position. Try working the yellow handle lever in the rear of the scooter to the locked, brake engaged position. Turn off the scooter and turn it on again to clear the error code beep.
If that does not work try the same lever in the opposite position. Turn the scooter off and then on again. The scooter should now run. Hope this helps.

I canot pull the lever to disengage to a free wheel
Your brake my be locked up due to corrosion . Take scooter and tilt it up so you can see under it and take spraw lube and spray where the lever goes into the brake assy then work up down or back and forth and it should lossen up

hi, if the freewheel lever is jammed which is located on the drive motor, take the rear cover off and make sure the lever is not bent,

you will see how the freewheel lever is mounted under normally a rubber cover on the side of the electric motor ,
