I have murray self propelled lawn mower. Last

I have murray self propelled lawn mower. Last couple of weeks I noticed it uses alot more fuel than usual (App.70%)There are no leaks. After the initial start it will work for 10 minutes and it will stop or the RPM drops by 80%. After that, every 2-3 minutes RPM goes down and I have to stop the mower. Once I start it again, it runs good for another 2-3 minutes than I have to stop again and restart. I couldn't figure out what the problem is. Do you have any idea what the problem may be. Thanks

Hey mate, just with out hearing it or seeing the unit run, i would guess that the air cleaner may be blocked, when this is the case the mower struggles to get enough air and tricks the mower to think it is on choke this inturn increases the fuel consumption and also fouls spark plugs and the troubles begin, the fix for this is to get the mower serviced every 30-40 hours of use, even more in extreme conditions this will guarantee
smooth and efficient running every mow...

Brad:)

Remove the air breather filter, it might be dirty. Stephen.

My toro self propelled lawn mower won't roll backwards... the wheels are locked up

My Toro Pace Master self propelled 22" 6.75 mower will not move by itself. I can push the mower and cut. It does start with no problem. I have a cable on left side of the mower that extends to the top of the handle broken off at the top of the mower and is loose. Is there a way to check to see if this is why it will not self propel. It attaches to the push handle that does I push down to propel the mower. Any suggestions?

Replacing the self-propelled belt on my Murray mower

Hi,
Here is the link to the parts list for your mower. Though it doesn't give instruction for replacement, it does show an exploded view of the components:

I hope this helps...
Good luck

Self propel is out

Either the cable that engages it is broke or the belt that drives it is broke.
