USA or not USA.? countries have laws on power.
Our manual 6030 shows not one fuse on the outside at all
so they are some inside (fuses) glass or not glass does not mater
what matter is blow fuses off all kinds, and present inside.
if it is dead the AVR is it. not told
i read your service manual, and there are 2 fuses.

YAMAHA HTR-6030 AV Receiver. Right and left front speakers have ceased to produce any sound

Unplug and replug the wires and check for damages as well, set audio settings on the device if its matching settings on receiver as well, try testing the settings thru TEST TONE CHECK

I have a HTR 6030, Samsung C6500. When I connect optical audio out (TV) to optical audio input - DTV/CBL (HTR-6030) all I get is only Stereo sound... The movie is 5.1 played from a HDD connected to a TV....

by press "EFFECT" button, choose Movies or Musics, Dolby digital, unit will play 5.1

We just discovered in chat session that receiver is defective and left speaker has no sound, please take it in local repair shop for visual check and repair.

If you can't use one of the Optical Digital Audio INPUTs on the HTR-6030, why don't you just use the Analog Audio Out on the HDD and an Analog Audio IN on the HTR-6030? It has one actually marked 'DVR', but any one would do.

No component video output

The Yamaha HTR-6030 offers two types of video monitor output: Component and Composite. You may need to connect both types to your television as the HTR-6030 does not have composite to component video conversion. In other words, to view your VCR on your TV, you need to use the composite video monitor connection. However, for a DVD player or other source that has component video connections, use the component video monitor output to your TV. If your TV has both types, you simply switch between the two with your TV remote to access the proper video monitor output signal from the HTR-6030.
