Maytag 9000 series washing machine. No power after turning on with front panel removed.
MHWE950W Front access panel was removed to clean the drain filter. Turned machine on without panel in place. Started and quickly power went out. I see that there is an interlock switch that would have been depressed if the panel was in place. I have tried the power and start button reset method. My thought is that it would be a fuse but have not located it yet.

Of course. The filter is located in the pump behind 'front' bottom panel. Disconnect power, remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily. Once the panel is off, remove the filter by turning the knob counterclockwise. Be prepared for a lot of water, catch it in something to prevent more work. Clean the filter from any debris that prevents water from draining out properly. Front loaders hv filters, top loaders don't. Don't forget to click that you are helped!
