there might be something wrong with the tv remote. turn the tv on then make it on a high volume then put the remote in a different room and see if the volume turns down if it doesn't then you have some thing wrong with the remote not the tv.

Sounds like a power supply problem. The blinking light is never a good sign. Is it still under warranty?

Panasonic is te best in TV or DVD.I have 10 years a Panasonic TV.Please dissasambly and clean the remote control rubber pad and change the battery every 8 mounth,and all is OK.

please follow the steps below:

RED + SELECT (flashes twice)

try the volume if this works then press SELECT to save the code. If not then press TV again then the volume. repeat this step until the volume works then press the SELECT button to save the code.

have u check the menu??? where u can move the audio optons, panasonic has 3 options:
speakers on
speaker off variable pre out (u can connect and amplifier and when u up the volume in ur tv then u turn up the volume in the amplifier)
speaker off continues out (u turn on and down the volumen directly on the amplifier)

try to connect an amplifier to the tv an see if u have sound.

i u dont have sound neither the amplifier the audio in the tv must be damaged.

Your flyback transformer likely needs to be replaced.

unplug tv from the power source for about 2 minutes plug in. If this does not solve your problem U may have to futher check starting at the eprom for 5 Volts. also check for bad solders around the area
