Gold medal Tornado cotton candy machine stopped working
My commercial Gold Medal Tornado cotton candy machine stopped working. 2nd one that broke in a year. I'm pretty sure the plug adapter my dad made for me isn't grounded right because I can feel a current in the metal table it set on before it sparked and stopped working. I will get a new plug adapter. So it sparked and stopped spinning. How can I fix this?

Unlikely to be the plug adapter. That would just trip the breaker. Your issue is likely to be leaking voltage from the motor windings. I had this with a 1950s desk fan.

A kettle not heating is either a switch, kettle wires, thermostat, or kettle heater.
Check that the kettle is plugged in tight, notice if the switch lights up when switched, then contact your local gold medal dealer for repairs. It is always cheaper to repair a gold medal kettle than replace.

The most common cause to a not heating problem is that the heat ribbon is installed wrong. If it was recently replaced, the 2 wire terminals need to be connected to the 2 different buss strips in the head. If both are attached to the same one, then nothing happens.
2. If this is not the problem, then inspect the brushes and slip rings in the lower spinner head. Remove the access covers and see that the brushes are tight against a shiny smooth Brass slip ring. it is common for brushes to get stuck in holders and stop contacting rings.
3.last item is the heat control.
These are pretty advanced repairs, and should be attempted by a service technician with assistance from a Gold Medal service person.
If you have checked to make sure it is plugged in, and outlet has power. The next thing to check is a circuit breaker in the front underneath the handle. A small white button to push.
If resetting the breaker, and it runs for a second then trips again, do not reset it again, this indicates a ground fault in the machine and it needs to be repaired by technician.
If the breaker doesn't change the operation (no power) then it should be repaired by a technician as there is no easy fix for the symptoms you have described.
possible reason being, You have to many circuits running at the same time causing it to trip the breaker try unplugging some other appliances an see if that helps.
I FACED THE SAME PROBLEM . BEST OPTION IS TO GO TO THE STORE FROM WHERE YOU GOT IT DONT TAKE THE RISK OF FIXING IT YOURSELF YOU MAY TURN UP COMPLICATING THE PROBLEM MORE
