Unless your a skilled electronic tech and have the test gear to trouble shoot the set don't waist your money trying to fix it. Plasma sets are about 10x more complex than a LCD set

TV will not turn on. Red light comes on and flashes off and on.

Check the number of flashes (will be a sequence of just regular flashes... or a sequence of short and long flashes) ... once you have this ... call your service agent and ask for a quote ... first google the flash sequence and se what the code means.... could be as simple as a simple board change.

Pioneer Plasma TV-PDP-4270HD won't turn on. TV

Try this! There should be a power button on the bottom of the panel that has to be depressed for the television to power on. It is the main power supply button and without it there is no power going into the TV.

Can't turn on from Stanby mode

I would assume the power board has a problem. A tech could possibly repair it without replacing the whole board.

Plasma Display Starting Up

Could be heat build up in the Plasma display unit. Make sure it has the correct space around it for proper ventilation. Also count the number of blinks on the power indicator it is a code for the reason the unit shut down. On the Pioneer PDP-5060HD I have I was getting 12 blinks on the indicator which indicated a tuner issue. Check your instruction book for info on the over heating problem if it continues. You may have a fan out.
