Water Inlet Valve

The dishwasher has an electrical water valve called a water inlet valve. If the dishwasher won't fill with water, the water inlet valve might be defective. These valves are not repairable and will have to be replaced.

Float

The float assembly is normally inside the dishwasher near the door on the floor of the dishwasher. If something gets stuck underneath it and holds the float assembly up, the dishwasher won't fill with water. If the float assembly moves freely up and down, the float switch might be defective.

Float Switch

The float switch is actuated by the float assembly. It is a protection device designed to prevent the dishwasher from overfilling. If the dishwasher won't fill with water, it may be because this float switch is defective or stuck.

Water Supply Problem

The dishwasher is connected to the hot water supply from the house. Check to be sure the household water supply valve is turned on. Over time, calcium deposits can build up in the water supply valve or in the small filter screen inside the water inlet valve. The water supply line may need to be removed from the water inlet valve of the dishwasher, then run some water into a bucket to see if there is enough pressure. Be certain to turn off the water before working on the water line.

Machine runs but doesn't allow water to come into machine

Don't know the history of your machine, sounds like possibly the hot water supply valve under your sink is turned off. To check this go under your kitchen sink and inspect water supply valves, (right side cold water) left side hot water valve feeds the machine. Vertical water line is for sink above, there should be a second water line coming off this valve that has its own on/off knob. Make sure this knob is turned on, (counterclockwise)if not sure turn it to the right (clockwise)till stops, then to the left till it stops. This allows hot water to enter dish machine. If valve is on and line is ok, there might be a kink in the line behind the dish machine or a restriction (clog) in the water line. May need to unplug machine and unsecure it to pull it out for inspection. Good luck, best regards.

No water will enter the dishwasher, There is no problem with the water supply or the supply line. The water flows from the supply line to the dishwasher connector but does not enter the dishwasher.

The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. Make sure it's not clogged. There is a screen on the inside of the valve, this sometimes gets clogged up with debris. Check to see if you get power to valve when unit is put into operation may take a couple minutes to start a fill. If you have power and it's not clogged up replace the valve .If you have no power to the water inlet valve check float switch. This can be done by checking the continuity. Here is a video checking the water inlet valve and the float switch. It may be a different model but the testing procedure will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations for most models. All parts come with installation instructions.

My sunbean652sias says it has insufficient water pressure

Hello. The water coming into a dishwasher is from the hot water supply line nearby, often under the sink. Make sure that the valve on that dishwasher supply line is opened all the way. Turn it counter clockwise as far as it will go. If that does not solve your problem, consider replacing the dishwasher hot water supply line. The old line may be bent or partially clogged with sediment. J.

PDW7880J10SS: No water

First check to be sure that the valve that controls water coming from the hot water supply is turned on. This may be right under the kitchen sink. If it is turned off, just turn it back on and u should be set.

However, if you have water coming to the dishwasher but no water in the dishwasher it has to be one of two items:
Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.

Float switch The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

Water not getting in to dishwasher - Haier WQP12-AFM

Have you taken the supply line off of the appliance and the water line? Sometimes due to the hot water it deteriates the rubber seals that are on the valve stems and pieces and get stuck in the supply line and in turn restricks the water flow.
Take off the entire supply line and inspect both ends. If you do not see anything, then wrap a napkin around one end and blow into it and see if anything comes to the opposite end. If so, get a pair of needle nose pliers and remove the item. Good luck. Thanks.
