Hello, my phone is siemens gigaset 4000 comfort. After I receive a call and I answered it, how can I get the caller number again after the call is ended?

The display should indicate what's going on with CLIP, and why it's not showing up.
You should either see an icon of a BELL, "WITHHELD" or "UNAVAILABLE".
BELL = you haven't requested CLI from your carrier
WITHHELD = if caller has withheld CLI from carrier
UNAVAILABLE = CLI is not requested.


Do you see one of these three on the display when you receive a call?


Other than one of those reasons, I'm not sure what your issue might be.

i have gigaset al285 duo unable to show anything on display.but the battery is full

Just had a look at my Gigaset C2, where I can just follow the menu, same on my Gigaset A2. Have you got a screen display with menu options?

Does it say any of these on the display
Extern. call -means not arranged with service provider. Contact your service provider.
Withheld- Caller is withholding caller ID information.
Unavailable -your phone is not setup to display caller is with your provider.Contact them.

In addition your phone provider must support CLIP,CLI and CNIP. Confirm with your provider.

I can not hear caller when phone is answered, but caller can hear me.

Hi James, Here is a link to the instructions below to download the Siemens Gigaset Manual for free or for Siemens repair services. However, on the 4000 model you can easily set the time by pushing menu, scroll down to base settings push OK, push OK again for clock, then scroll down to TIME, and push OK and make your changes. Also, you can change the date, as you saw in the menu. If your using a 4200 handset, the menu is slightly different, but similar. And if you get caller id, the phone will automatically read the system date and time from the phone company so you never have to set your time again. It's the "MEM" key at the very bottom right.  I had the very same question and just found the answer at http://www.epinions.com/content_67070561924

 

(The last paragraph of the review gives the answer.)

 

When you hear the beep, press and release the MEM key.  The 2nd caller's phone number appears on the screen to indicate you've been connected to the 2nd caller while the first caller is put on hold. 

 

To get back to the first caller, press and release MEM again: the first caller's number will appear on the screen. 

 

I don't know if there's a way to see who the 2nd caller is without actually connecting to them.
