If you switch on the MIXER after a while Red peak lights light up in two channels no8 and 11/12. After a minute it goes off in channel 11/12.

Only the Peak light remains on in channel 8. And only in channel no8 the channel ON button does not answer (light up.)

If you switch off and switch on immediately this time only channel 8 lights up. ( No problem with 11/12)

If just the red LD, replace the driver ic. If all are on, check for noise.

I have an EMX5016CF mixer. 2 of the channels have both the peak and signal lights permanently on. What does this mean?

Hi Safa Mashat, the problem with the two lights, can have several origins
First, disconnect the signal that enters these two channels and check if they are still on, but they are, the problem is in the cable or device that is connected to that line
If the fault still continues, it is most likely that the two-channel input stage has been damaged.
In this case if you have technical knowledge, I send you the service manual link
If not, I suggest you look for a specialized technical service
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil

Channels 1 and 2 on a Yamaha MG166cx-USB mixer seem to be burned out. They aren't working. Other channels are fine. Any idea what the issue could be?

Get the schematics. ALSO, MANY TIMES IT IS AN ISSUE OF THE INSERT JACKS BECOMING DIRTY ! Spray some cleaner and plug/unplug a plug (sic) several times. That has saved me many times. Luck !

Shud i get an external equaliser? i'm using MG166CX 16-Channel Mixer as the main mixer.

An external equalizer will not help this at all. The problem is likely within the amp (feeding the main speakers), the connections from the board to the amp, or the speakers themselves. In other words, the answer would be "NO." Best of luck!

Why is the yamaha emx512sc so light weight

Because it is solid state for one.

It is also a Class D type amplifier, so the 500 watts is only a a peak rating and not very accurate, it is not an RMS rating, there is a big difference.

Class D amps chop up the music stream so it is not a continuous signal like analog signals are. It has a generalized block diagram similar to a power inverter or an AM transmitter. You ear is not likely going to notice the difference.

After purchasing a pair of behringer b212a speakers, the clip light (red warning light) began flashing at just half way volume and bass. is there anything i can do to improve this problem such as higher...

The clip led flashes when a peak value reached the amplifier and it is no way combined with cables or jacks quality (by the condition that all the connection are not in loosing state). So there is no need to change cables or jacks if their contacts are OK. Maybe the signal you are hearing from one speaker has more peaks so the peak led flashes. Here are some tests you can try:
Change the channels. Use the monitor A in the place you were using monitor B and vice versa. Did the peak led flashes at the same monitor?
Change the signal input, if it's possible use a mono recording or enable the mono switch at the mixer, so that make sure that both of the monitors are driven by the same signal.

Signal Light Problems Yamaha P2500

Stereo amplifier = two channel..A and B.
1. Make sure that your stereo audio mixer has an output from LEFT going to amp channel A and output RIGHT going to channel B.
2. Check that the "Pan" control on your audio mixer is set to the 12:00 position.
3. Inputs to mixer...make sure the music/microphone input channels "Pan" controls are also set for 12:00 as well.

No stereo signal out from yamaha p 2500 s

It's unclear what type of connectors are on the end of the cables(s) coming from your computer.

This amp only works with mono 1/4" TRS and XLR connectors, not standard RCA connectors.

Did you try the Right one in the Left Channel to see if the Left Channel worked?

Refer to the following manual and read up on the connectors (page 7) and the use of the Stereo/Parallel/Bridge Switch (page 8). When it is NOT in Stereo Mode the unit only uses the Right Channel controls and input.

Use this switch to select the operating mode.
• STEREO mode
Channels A and B operate independently (as with a conventional
stereo amplifier). The Channel A input goes to the Channel
A output jacks, and the Channel B input goes to the
Channel B output jacks.
The Channel A input signal is output through both the Channel
A and Channel B output jacks. The Channel B input jacks do
not function. Channel A and B volumes can be independently
• BRIDGE mode
The Channel A input signal is output from the BRIDGE output
jacks. To adjust the volume, you must use the Channel A volume
control knob.

I'm assuming the subwoofers were bridged and couldn't handle the power. Make sure you have atleast 300 watts peak power wattage.

Power and Stand-by light alternate (JPA1150M)

It shouldn't be going into protection mode. Have you tried doing this on the other channel?

The high level input is for speaker level signal (as those you'd have if you were driving the amp from an OEM head unit).
