I have a delonghi double oven gas range DEFSGG 36 D SS.
Is it normal for fan failure light to come on from time to time?? the fan seems to eventually kick in but it's a bit scary...
It's hard to replicate - on the left the fan turns on right away. On the right, it runs on after a few minutes (I think that's supposed to be that way) and I just ran a test and fan ok and no light. But the last two nights I used it, the fan failure light came on... How do I know if there is really a problem?

behind the control panel, there you will see the thermal switch/thermal fuse, this part is the one holds and trigger the cooling fan.. once this part is broken it could result in system malfunction, like the one you gave encountered..
I had the very same problem. I slid the oven out of the wall about 6" or so, unplugged it, plugged it back in. It worked. I'm not sure if I jostled some connection, or if unplugging/repluging it in reset some sort of circuit fault.
