faulty speaker connections remove all the speakers one by one clean wires with cleaning oil put a drop of oil in connector and fix it again it should work
The manual (on page 47) says the settings are only effective when decoding Dolby Digital or DTS source signals. Does that conflict with your symptoms or match them?
PCM mode will not output dobly digital, use the digital cable connection, not RCA cables, set DVD audio output menu to Dolby digital or DTS. On DVD software menu setup select audio then Dolby Digital 5.1 or Dolby Surround.
