What does it mean when bcs1 battery charger light is red

sounds like the batteries that you are trying to charge are caput, if it stays red they are not charging if it flashes red its charging if its green they are charged, some chargers work different so check your instructions.

Helicage work for 15 minute and now the green light does not come on to charge but the red light does and it won't do nothing at all

check that you are trying to charge the right batteries for the charger. Alkaline batteries will not charge and nic hydroxide need a special charger. Every possibility you got alkaline batteries to start with. make sure your batteries are rechargeable.

Archos 70 won't turn on

I have the 8gig Archos 70, the whole thing froze as described in other posts. The solution is not for the feint of heart though. Mine would do absolutely nothing. So what the heck, I opened it up (nothing to lose at this point). Messed about a bit. Read that when it "Bricks" like this there is nothing that can be done. If it is Bricked, something locks it in the memory and function. As long as the battery is connected, it will remain that way no matter what.

Solution. Cut the black power wire from the battery (there are three long wires red white and black), leave for 20 minute, and solder the wire back together and heat shrink the joint. Reassemble, plug in power cord and it should reboot...

My archos is about 3-4 years old, and is mounted to the wall in my kitchen for use as an internet radio

Battery light won't change colors, drops to 0% once unplugged

Let the battery completely discharge all they way and let it sit for a day or so. Some times when a battery is new most user do not let it fully charge and then completely drain this causes problems for long use batteries. Then give it a try. It also sounds like your plug your cord that connects to the battery may be faulty. Did you by a different cord with the battery? Or use the one from your old one? If you did. This is a "No No" always buy the cord that come for those battery since they are rated for the particular battery.
