Abilize Stride Sport Mobility Scooter -The battery gauge indicator lights on the tiller head are so dim that they are unreadable

Abilize Stride Sport Mobility Scooter -The battery gauge indicator lights on the tiller head are so dim that they are unreadable unless you stand directly over them. At any other angle they are unreadable except for the red light. Scooter goes okay and batteries are fully charged. Is this a design fault or is something wrong? Thanks

The display has a capacitor behind it and it needs replacing.

How do i remove or disconnect the beeper on my pride mobility go go sport scooter? I have the manual and it's worthless - i need instructions how to do it - i repeat - pride mobility manuals are wort

You will need to access the circuit board inside the top of the tiller assembly. The circuit board is located at the top of the tiller assembly, inside the shell. There should be six phillips screws holding the top of the tiller on. If you look up from the lower part of the tiller to the underside of the tiller head, you will see the screws. Remove these, then the speed control knob on the top, and open the top of the tiller; this will expose the circuit board. Look at the two wires leading from the back of the horn button and they will lead to a plug-in connector on the circuit board. Unplug this connector, reassemble and you are good to go, quietly :)

Check the multi pin connector on tiller and where it connects under the seat between the batteries. Most common problem.

Why isn't my scooter charging when it's plugged in?

Your batteries may be too low for the charger to recognize they are there. Check each individual battery with a multimeter.

Disconnect batteries so you can check each individual battery. If you are unsure about doing this yourself, many battery places and medical equipment companies will check them for you.

Mobility scooter

The usual remedy is to replace both the tiller pot and speed pot at the same time. If your battery gauge is NOT dropping when speed is dropping then you need a tiller pot replacement as well. These parts have a typical 3-5 year life expectancy.

I have got a tga breeze mobility scooter. I charged the batteries as it was not used for a while the display showed up grey put in the key. The indicators & lights etc didn't work but the scooter would...

If the scooter functions OK backwards & forwards and drives the distance you require, then i would hazard a guess at the PCB in the tiller head, paired with BDI (Battery Display Indicator).
Batteries on the Breeze are most likely 70-100ah, and ideally must be kept charged, either after use or at least once per week if you are not using it. Failing to do so will end up costing a lot of money :-)

Hi, I have a gogo mobility scooter...when the key is pushed nothing happens, no sound, no indicator, i checked connection, batteries are charged, lever is in the right position...any idea what could b

Get a 24v circuit tester http://www.amazon.com/OEM-25886-6-24V-Circuit-Tester/dp/B0014WIVX6

Connect the black lead to the negative side of the battery open the tiller head and expose the key switch, use the probe end of the circuit tester to probe the two wire connections, one connection should have 24volts on it.If there is no voltage at the key switch this means you don't have power getting to the tiller head. Check the cable that connects the tiller head to the body of the scooter, that both sides are plugged in and tight. Check all breakers, fuses, check all the wires in that they hide the fuses all over the place. Unplug and replug checking for pushed pins. You can start at the battery and chase the 24volt thought the wiring. The beauty of the circuit tester is that long sharp probe. Its perfect for sliding down the side of a wire in order to reach a pin on a connector.. If 24v is present on the pin the tester will light up, So if on one side it lights up but on the other side it doesn't pull the connector apart and reconnect to re-seat the pins, look for pushed pins. Hope this helps

Gogo elitescooter lights indicate battery fully charged but scooter will not go

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. (Typical replacement in 24-48 months). If there is any beeping when the key is first turned on then there is a problem and the number of beeps indicates the problem found by the computer during the POST.
