Same problem, my Toshiba 26AV502R not powering on. I found the ceramic fuse blown on the power board & replaced it. The new fuse blew the instant I plugged the TV in. Any idea what is causing this?

Have to start unplugging things and re testing when it doesnt pop fuse thats whats wrong

Replace the power board if you can find one, unless you're an electrical engineer with the proper test gear high speed switching power supplies are to complex to service

Toshiba 46RV525U, Ceramic or Glass 8A Fuse

You can replace it with a regular glass T 8.0 amp fuse 250V and you will be in specs with the original.

Bad power supply, most likely. Take the back off and look around to see if any capacitors are bulged out. These need to be replaced with the same farad value, most likely 1000uF, but the voltage can be increased a little if need be.

You can get these parts at Radio Shack, or on Ebay. Just see which ones are puffed and match the value.
If this doesn't work, you can try looking up the power supply online by the board number on the side.
(The power supply board will have the plug for the wall leading to it)

I have aVizio VX42L HDTV10A. was watching a show when we heard a loud pop.Then all went dark. Would not turn back on. I took off the back cover and found the ceramic fuse was blown on the board # DPS-283AP...

This means you have a dead short, It is probably a Diode in the power supply area, but without testing board you don't know. If you know basic electronics, i would say check all diodes in power supply and look hard for something burnt and replace that also. Or just replace power board, check shopjimmy.com

This condition, may be produced by defective components (Q506, Q507). you can remove those transistor, replace the fuses, power-on and wait for relays click. if the fuses not blown again, them replace both transistor.

Battery not charging

It should be marked on the fuse or the board either next to or under the fuse. Before you replace it, find out what blew it. Otherwise, you could blow something else out.

Toshiba air conditioning unit not working RAS-13UKH-G I've switched off the internal power supply to hopefully reset the ac but whenever I switch it back on the operation green light starts blinking and if I turn the ac on with the remote, the yellow timer light also starts blinking.
