I have an old Tower 3834C Slow Cooker, which is still in good working order. I need to know when it is on High and Low?

It has only one toggle switch and it is confusing which setting is on.

Press the Left side of the switch for HIGH and press the Right side of the switch for LOW. The setting you switch it to is the one it will stay in unless you move the switch.

Tower slow cooker model no 3834-0. Not sure which is hi or low when pressing the switch as I have been told low is opposite when pressed to high??

If timing does not allow the recipe to be cooked on low for as long as required, the slow cooker can be turned up to high and the cooking time reduced. Convert cooking time by using a ratio of 2 hours of cooking on low as being equal to 1 hour of cooking on high.

Is there a timer I can purchase for the SC60?

A timer would probably work for a slow cooker with only a switch for low, medium or high on the front of the cooker, but this slow cooker requires that after you plug it into the wall you have to tell it how you want it to cook, it won't start cooking automatically. In other words, you have to press buttons to make it cook. Hope that's clear, I know sometimes I'm not.

Slow cooker will only stay on warm. How do I put

This slow cooker has 3 settings LOW, HIGH, & WARM
When you plug the slow cooker in the display should show a "0". When you press the "COOK TIME" button, the display should go to 1 then 2 then 3 etc. each time the "COOK TIME" button is pressed. If 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the "HIGH" setting. If 7,8,9, or 10 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the "LOW" setting. To start the cooking cycle press the "ON/OFF" button. To interrupt the cooking cycle at any time, press the "ON/OFF" button. When the cooking cycle is complete, your slow cooker will automatically switch to the "WARM" setting. If the "ON/OFF" button is pressed when the the digital display shows "0", then the slow cooker will automatically start on the "WARM" setting.
If the "COOK TIME" button does not change the display numbers then unplug the slow cooker and hold both buttons down as you plug the slow cooker in. Keep the buttons pressed for a count of ten, then release them and the slow cooker should work correctly

To start the cooking cycle, press the "ON/OFF" button. To interrupt the cooking cycle at any tim, press the "ON?OFF" button. How long to cook in a Tower compact slo cooker (old model)

As to the the slow cooker recipes...Try going to www.goodbks.com and search for "Fix-It and Forget-It" cookbook for starters.

As to then 4 or 8 hour timing I'm assuming you don't have an owners manual for it. I would start out treating it as a 4-hour timer and adjusting the times for various dishes aas you learn the cookers "personality"

Hope I helped a little!

Ronson slow cooker don't know which is high or low

on setting 1 (low),the slow cooker can operate all day and night if required

when set to 2 (high) it is very much like a covered pot on the stove.food will cook in half the required time

AUTO the slow cooker will cook on 2 (high) until the food reaches a pre-set temperature, then switches to 1(low) and maintains a constant slow cooking temperature.Auto is ideal for someone who is leaving the house for the day 8-9 hours please feel free to share this information. If you have any more ? please fell free to contact me.
