If codes for your product are not listed in the User Manual for your TV, then you may use the search function to find a working code. Full details can be found in the User Manual, but basically:1. Turn on the device you wish to control2. Press the device button on your remote (DVD in this case)3. Press and hold SET until the red LED blinks twice, then release4. Enter 9 9 1; the LED blinks twice5. Press the number that matches your device type (2 for DVD)6. Aim the remote and press the power button; if the device responds go to step 87. If the device doesn't respond, press the CH ^ key until the device turns off8. Press SET to store the code Remember that not every universal remote will control every device and, if the search fails, the remote is not compatible with your DVD recorder. I hope this helps.
Hi heres a link to by ilo remotes but you will need the number on the remote to get the right one> http://www.electronicadventure.us/ilo.htm?gclid=CJ756P-B2p8CFRD7agodIw6-Hg
Go to walmart and get a Philips universal remote, they have the ilo code listed. I have two of them...even though the remote isn't set up like the original ilo remote, you can still record, burn, finalize, and edit. I have the dvdrhd04...which is going into the shop tomorrow to replace the dvd burner, but the hard drive still works like a charm.
Again, you'll have to play with the remote a bit....ARC gets you into the menu and (.) while playing will get you into edit mode, but into another menu when not playing a recorded item. I've used it so much now that I can barely use the original remote. ha ha. The perk is that you can set up your dvd, your tv, digital box and other things to run on one remote.
