The alarm consists of three chirps followed by 30 seconds of silence and then three chirps again, repeat. LG customer service could not help.
On a new installation, it is the temperature inside not within the set point.
It must be mentioned in the manual?
@ Andrew. The model is LG LRDCS2603S. The manual does not provide any information. The unit has been on for more than 12 hours, it is at the desired temperature, and the alarm still continues to ring. This is the second unit that the retailer has sent to me. Both have this problem.
I can find lots of information on '3 beeps', but nothing on '3 chirps'.

If none of that works, I would be ditching LG and choosing another make. LG make great televisions and phones, the rest, not so great. I was dissuaded against buying an LG Air conditioner by a company that sold both LG and Fujitsu units.
@ Andrew. The beep is very high pitched and so that's why I called it a `chirp'. (If I didn't know better, I might think it was a bird song.) Thanks, I have looked a lot at google (which led me to Fixya).
This is the second new unit that they have installed in past two weeks. I had the first unit replaced because of the beeping/chirping. The second unit does the same thing. The installer said I should just return this fridge. I imagine that something simple is going on. These are two brand new fridges that are doing the same thing.
Did you see the article about the door magnets moving? I agree, send it back and buy a different make. The disappointing part is that "LG customer service could not help". If I was in that department, I would send out a factory technician from LG head Office to find the problem, document it and fix it. It is difficult to beat GE / Whirlpool, or Samsung. The prestige makes like, Sub Zero, Gaggenau, Bosch and Miele are fine when they are working, but the prices of spare parts are in cloud cuckoo land! Having been here for 16 years, I see problems with all the makes and heavily research parts prices and availability.

Widening the search for the beeps. Is the fridge built in? high ambient temperature at the compressor?

Installation
1* Remove unit and all packing materials from the carton. You should save packing
materials in case unit needs to be returned for service. If you do not wish to save the
materials, please dispose of them properly.
2* Place the unit on a stable, level surface, close to an AC outlet, out of direct sunlight,
and away from sources of dust, dirt, heat, water, moisture, vibration, or magnetic fields.
3* After installing the batteries (see below) and reading the Maintenance notes, plug the
AC cord into an outlet.
"Sure Alarm" Battery Backup Installation
It is strongly recommended that 2 "AA" batteries be installed into the unit, as directed below,
in order to activate this product's "Sure Alarm" Battery Backup feature. (The model should
come with two batteries already installed.) In the event that the AC power cord is disconnected
or a power failure or other interruption occurs, the "Sure Alarm" Battery Backup will maintain
clock and alarm settings for the life of the battery, ensuring that the alarm (buzzer only) will
sound at the set time. During any interruptions the time and alarm settings will be saved
and automatically restored when AC power is again active.
1* Gently turn the unit over and remove the battery
compartment door.
2. Install 2 "AA" batteries (alkaline is recommended for
longer life), while making sure that the + and - ends
match up with those inside the battery compartment.
3* Slide the battery compartment door back on, making
sure the door locks into place, and gently return the
unit to its upright position.
