You have to twist the e-stop to reset it and once you’ve done this you still have to reset the fault by pressing the reset button on the controller. It looks like a red triangle inside a circle with a line through it and depending on how old your machine is, you may have to double-press the button. If this doesn’t fix it check the BLUE wires coming out of the estop going to the controller and make sure nothing is loose. If all this doesn’t fix it your estop button is probably broken.

Ingersoll Rand SH-300 compressor not starting and showing high-line voltages while actual voltages are normal.

try the electrician page and check that you have very good grounding. sometimes the poor ground will give false reading of high voltage because of less equal grounding.

I have old Ingersoll Rand compressor type 30 model 15T serial # 243496 Blow fuss when restart ?

Probably a faulty non return check valve, when the unit reaches pressure air in the delivery pipe is vented down at the pressure switch. If the check valve is passing back this will cause the unit to try to start against a pressure causing it to pull high amps and trip. If there is a constant hiss coming from the pressure switch when the unit stops it will be the non return valve. There should be a short hiss of air when units stops If there is no hiss at all when the unit stops it could be a faulty pressure switch. If it is a quick fix would be to create a small leak on the delivery pipe to vent the line down.

I got an Ingersol rand Rottary Compressor Model# PX6683U06083 Compressor it releases coolant out of the air intake I belive it was running backwards for a short while now it is rotating the right way, can...

If this type of compressor is run for any length of time in the wrong direction you will do damage for sure now if this unit is shut down while it is loaded (producing air) it will push lubricant out of the inlet filter most of the time people hit the emergency stop button to shut it done which is wrong the compressor should be unloaded first which when unloaded the inlet valve will be closed which then the compressor will be running unloaded and can now be shut down using the off button or switch not sure which one you have other reasons why this could happen failing load/unload solenoid usually the vent is plugged or bad minimum pressure check valve

I HAVE AN INGERSOLL RAND SSR HP/40SE AIR COMPRESSOR W/INTELLISYS CONTROLLER 15-50 HP.IT HAS POWER,BUT DOES NOT HAVE ANY LED ON SCREEN.CHECKED CONTROL VOLTAGE-OK POWER LT ON,WHEN PUSH BUTTONS NOTHING...

I know you have checked voltage. However please remove the fuses for control power and check, also check fu4 and 5 16volt fuses. next check power on the controller input. Don't remember terminal # but if you look in electrical cover removed to gain access, a wiring schematic will be affixed to it. I think it's on j5 terminal 36 110volts. But please check the schematic first. If you have power at the input terminal I suspect the controller is bad but continue with the following checks. If no power at terminal 36 check the hat (High Air Temperature) switch. Its located on the end of the airend and about 1/2 inch flex connected. If the hat switch is good check the emergency stop contacts. Note the power lite picks up voltage before the emergency stop and hat switch. So even though the lite is on one of these switches may be bad.

We have an Ingersol Rand Unigy IRN-11-8-H with software upgrade increasing current to 21.9 amps and 1.70 cubic meters/min. It has the option switch selecting ramp-up or down or just standard off and on...

Unfortunately, that drive is pretty well "cleansed". I-R is not like many compressor manufacturers who use a standard Siemens or Allen Bradley drive. They use something obscure and modify it so that you can't get outside support. You will have to go to a IR distributor.

As a side note, the Unigy series was plagued with problems. They had a 120% failure rate, meaning on average that each one failed more than once during the warranty period.

Hi,I got a Ingersoll Rand type 30 model 234 compressor. It looks good but it has no motor.I'm thinking like 120v,3horses?,but not sure about rpm.any help would be nice.thanks

According to the information you provided your looking at a 10 HP motor at three phase. Do you have three phase at your location? If not I would look into getting a single phase compressor. If you do want to get it going I would notify your local IR dealer so they can get you the right Model number, RPM, Pulley and Motor Frame Size to match your unit.

Please read below....Jim...if this helped you please send me a positive response...Thanks!
