Laser power where to adjust magnavox zv427mg9a

When disc is loading it hangs up on the last segment and won't finish loading. I cleaned the laser lense and the rails look ok. I want to increase the power to the laser but can't locate the potentiometer for the power on this unit. My servive manual doesn't cover this. Maybe it's a fixed resister. Can you help me? Magnavox ZV427MG9A

The reason you can't find how to do it in the service manual is it's not something that's adjustable. Most likely it's a focus issue but that also isn't an adjustment as it's built into the logic program, it's time for a new player

Ferguson TV DVD fault - won't play discs
Check its loading mechanism for proper disc loading. Replace the loading belt first and check. If it does not help you, insert a cleaning disc into it. If the fault is with accumulated dust or dirt on the laser pick up lens, it will be cleared out. If not, replace the laser pickup unit.

Magnavox MPD850 dvd player won't play, only display no disc
The problem is in the laser pickup assembly, over time the laser becomes weak until it can no longer read the disc, but you can buy a DVD cleaning kit that might breath more life into the player, if no! cheaper to replace the DVD player.

Disc won,t play it just keeps spinning it says loading but it won,t play
Hello,

how long have you been using this player and when did this begin?

The lens is weak such that it cannot load data on discs. Its spinning, trying to load, but can't because of the weak laser.

Get a lens cleaner, use it to clean the lens. If that doesn't solve the problem, get a screw driver, open the player's cover so that you can gain access to the lens, use a cotton board to clean the surface of the lens. This should clean dust or dirt that might be on the lens.

If non of the above solves the problem, then know that you need to replace the laser to a brand new one.

To replace the lens, remove the bad laser, use it as a sample to get exactly the same type and do the replacement. Note that replacing a laser (lens) needs a professional touch, so if you cannot replace the laser, get it to a repairman to fix it for you.

Once this us done, your player will play all discs again.

CD player says no disc...cleaned using lens cleaning disc and and worked normally but now saying no disc again...recleaned and working normally again but if I skip a track it doesn't seem to find the next...
You need a new laser. Even if a technician turns up the laser power level and it works it won't last more than a few months or so. Time for a new laser or most likely a new unit because that is almost always more cost effective. Good Luck!!

Taking lot of time to load and hang while loading.
Hi,
you should get a laser cd cleaning disk. usually has an audio track, or some have a small brush on the cd itself.
The laser adjustment-Calibration, can only be carried out with a multi-meter and a fine jewellers screwdriver.
would recommend a replacement dvd drive, bit more expense but worth it long term.

Why does my magnavox zv427mg9a loads all but the last position on the scale shown on the screen with a movie disc but will load a blank disc. Magnavox zv427mg9a won't completely load a movie or prerecorded disc. It does complete the loading of a blank disc. When dubbing from VHS tape I get a E4 error. I cleaned the laser lense and lubricated the laser rails. Before I increased the power to the laser a very small amount, it wouldn't completely load a blank disc either.
