    What difference will it make?

the voltage rating is the amount that the capacitor will withstand exceeding may cause it to explode.

How do I Bridge MTX Thunder 404 400 watts into one channel

The mtx thunder is a 4 channel amp. 4 channels can't be bridged to 1 speaker. You can only use one side of that amp to bridge your speaker. Unfortunately your now only using half your amp.

One minute it was working and the next minute there was nothing. No sounds, no picture, nothing. Any suggestions?

I have done some research and found a notorious cap and diode problem with this set. The two 4700uf caps (C14113 and C14115) on the DM1 power board (the board to the left of the sat. box when you look at the set from the back) are under rated and will eventually fail. When these caps fail they tend to take out diode CR14105. This may be your problem. If it is, you can replace the caps with 4700uf 25V 105c and the same as original diode.

Hello tonytone54, The ground should go directly to the vehicle frame, never through a cap, fuse, or anything else. Also, if you are connecting positive through a cap, make sure that you charge the cap before connecting it. Hope this helps.

No Power

I am having the same problem. In my case the diode appears to be ok. This info comes from some forums and a service buletin from Thomson Co.
