I have the same machine and had the same issue all day yesterday. Tech support will tell you to clean the tamper (round disk behind the tan/gray "flap"), which you should do. That didn't do it for me, however, so I kept cleaning. I cleaned out the chute where coffee powder goes. Then, after turning off the machine and removing the tray, I used my fingers to go up/under/behind as much as I could get to. I found the motherload of old coffee grounds. It's hard to describe where, but it was all around that metal area in the center. Just keep poking, but use your fingers so you can feel where the coffee is. I tried q-tips, but that didn't work..you have to feel it. After I got all the gunk out, I ran a cleaning again - no tablet - and it no longer said "press rinse" at the end of the cycle. It asked me to dump the tray, and then it went to "ready"! Yahoo - saved a bundle in shipping and repair.

Have experienced the same problem for the last nine months. Was finally able to solve it today by following this guide: http://www.wholelattelove.com/articles/jura_capresso_cleaning_guide.cfm
Having cleaned the shower screen I ran the regular cleaning cycle and now the display indiucates "Ready" as it should do.
