Question about Samsung Heating & Cooling

Samsung AQ12FAN, indoor unit starts on it's own, and stops after a few seconds, and starts again, and stops again, and... All this even with the batteries out of the remote. If I turn on the unit, after a few second it stops, and starts again on it's own, and just after a few cycles like this I manage to have a working AC. Does anyone knows what it could be wrong with it?

Hi,

It could be that the motor for the device needs to "warm up". Everytime it stops the internal thermostat sees that the target temperature has not been reached so it starts the internal motor again. This happens in a cycle until the motor gets warmed up or the target temperature is reached. This is my hypothesis. So, you might need to get the devices's motor checked out. Thank you.

    Hi, and thank you for your answer. However, as I stated before, from a stop(stand-by) state, the AC just turns on by itself, and then off again, and on, and off, and so on for a few times, until I unplug it from the wall socket.

A/C Unit SAMSUNG -Outdoor unit model= MH080FXCA 4A was connected to 3 indoor units:
It's possible you have a bad data wire on one of the systems. Swap the data wire or both if two with a different wire. (1&4--2&3) whatever. Whatever you do inside obviously do outside. Might have extra resistamce that is throwing the error but will be fine for a ground wire.Or do one system at a time, being sure to change your dip switch settings until you figure out the problem unit. The unit will start up and after a few seconds / minute will shut down automatically, with both the timer and turbo lights blinking indoor unit. How do I fix it?

Mr slim indoor fan shuts off
Might change the battery on your control. I wish these had a hard wire thermostat not a big fan of the remote can be confusing.

Why is Mr Slim MS-SGF24VC outdoor unit working when indoor unit off
Possibly a bad control board in the outdoor unit. Pull the disconnect outside to stop machine, wait 10 seconds and out back in. White mist was likely frost built up on indoor coil due to condenser running without the fan.

Inside motor not running and will not run on just fan. cage turns easily by hand
If the out door unit is running without the indoor fan running, you could possibly have a motor burned out or your indoor unit.
If nothing is running, check to make sure all panels are on inside, and that you have electricity to the indoor unit. Some air handlers and furnaces are equipped with a safety switch on the access door to the motor assembly. Also , there may be a switch that looks like a light switch beside the indoor unit.

Once again, check and see if the outdoor unit is running. It will eventually freeze up without the indoor fan. Hope this helps. Please email me if you have any more questions , I will try to step you through. Mark

I have a Fujitsu inverter split system,(ASTA18LCC) which the power was removed for a while. Now when you start it up on any mode the red operation light is on briefely, then the green timer light flashers...
To work out what the error code ispress the orange start/stop button on the remote controller so unit operationis stopped.
Then press and hold "energy save" and "zone control" buttonsimultaneously for at least five seconds, the error code will be along thelines of En:nn where the "En:" is the error code and the":nn" indicates the indoor unit address if there are multiple indoorunits connected to the one controller. If the upper vertical bar on the capitalE is missing so it looks maybe like a 2 or something don't worry for somereasons they just do that
Some common error codes are:
E0 Communication error between indoor unit and wired remote control, check ifthere is 12VDC between terminal 1 + 3 at remote control and 8-9VDC pulsatingbetween terminal 2 + 3. If DC volts out of Indoor pcb is below about 11.6VDC itwill cause this error, the problem is normally dry capacitors in the 12 VDCpower supply section. This model has two power supply sections on indoor pcb.
E1 Communication error between indoor unit and outdoor unit,

Indoor unit light blinking ( first n second light from top)
I have the same problem too. Aircon cannot switch on, two lights from the top is blinking. Everytime I turn on, the flip is open then close again with sound. The technician said the thermostat cable need to be replace. It cost about $15. The cable is 14" long. Hope this help.

I'm not sure exactly what unit you have and what controls you have installed on the unit. But....there usually is a flash code schematic on the unit. Usually on the inside of the blower compartment cover. This should tell you what is wrong with the unit. It could have a low voltage short somewhere and is loosing the call for cool. So the answer can be a possible yes to your question but without knowing the flash code, it's hard to tell from my point of view. You might end up calling a service professional out to check it.
