How do I change the sensitivity settings for the Sensor on the Sansui 42" TV.. I have a TV in the room and every time I change a channel or a setting I effect the TV in the next room.

Close the door or power down the tv in the other room to make adjustments to the main tv, I don't think there is a way to change the sensitivity of either screen you must shield your remote and its reflections from the other set I guess. have fun with that :)

Brightness adjustment

There will be a control panel on the TV, usually on the side of the TV. You can use these buttons to enter the menu and adjust picture brightness. You can find an inexpensive universal remote easily.

It sounds as if the color controller/circuit board is becoming sensitive and may soon disconnect. Don't be surprised if someday soon, the picture goes very dark or vanishes completely. Have a technician check it out with his test equipment to locate the exact problem.

Have a hitachi rear projection 50" TV (model# 50EX12BA). The screen gets dark when it gets dark in the room where the TV is (but it brightens if a light near the TV is turned on). Also, the colors...

From what i can find, you need to adjust the convergence of the individual projectors. One person said you need to adjust them once a month for optimal conditions, but also said once a year will suffice. I have an extra blue image, and although i was able to clean i dont know how many years of grime off the lenses and the mirror, i lack a remote that will operate the menu. I only have one universal remote by RCA that will operate the channels and volume, but not the input (im using S video input) nor the menu functions. You may have to buy a Hitachi remote (1-800-Remotes wants $40 for it), but i will try to get a better universal one and will post back if i have success.

Adjusting darkness

Hi Angel,
Are you really sure , your set has video? How dark is it ? As if really nothing visible? Am, sure you can hear sounds. You can adjust the brightness + button to increase the brightness. But if nothing happens , you have problem with your TV set. The problem might be in the Video section. Please let an expert technician to check it. Please don't do it by yourself, it's risky.
Please send feedback whatever comes up. So we can help you further in the future.

Thanks,
Eriez
