please verify with the product documentation that the flashing-door symbol indicates what you've initially mentioned. Apart from that, you might look for the sensor and hold it in to temporarily overcome the issue. If the door being shut is the issue, pressing in the sensor should fix the issue for you temporarily. If not, then you can work with Bosch or Home Deport to moving forward.
Prior to their arrival, you can power cycle your machine 1 or 2 times and check for the door symbol once more. It could be that they sensor has gone bad for some reason.
"the E:01 indicates a door lock error, make sure the door is closing tightly, you also may have a loose connection on either the door latch assembly or the control board, if these check out replace the latch assembly."
Since you've already replaced the mechanism then it seems possible a loose -connection- may be your problem. If you've already checked all this, please post back.
F16 is a door fault, could be the door is not tightly closed before pressing start, the lock is faulty so the machine is not registering that it is closed or the wiring connection to the door lock is loose.
I believe that the key symbool indicates that the machine cannot lock the door. Sometimes the result of a slightly sticking door interlock mechanism. Open the door and close it hard and firmly (slam it a bit, but don't get silly about it!). A good test to see if this is the problem is to attempt a program with the door swinging open. If the symptoms (flashing key) are the same, then the issue is almost certainly narrowed down to that door lock mechanism.
If this fails, unplug the machine from the main power source and leave it for 20 minutes to allow it to reset its self, then try again.
Your Maytag Neptune Washing Machine displays error codes, also called "help codes," to identify specific problems with your washer. Once you close your Maytag Neptune's door, the machine locks the door, goes through the selected wash cycles and unlocks the door when the laundry is finished. Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and drainage of water and the motor. The "FL" code indicates that the washing machine was unable to lock the door after you closed it. Open and close the door tightly, then restart the washing cycle. Door lock monitor switch in door lock mechanism unable to communicate to control board the door is locked. 1.Check wire connections in harness leading from machine control board to door lock mechanism.2.Check solenoid and door lock enable switch in door lock mechanism. 3.Replace responsible component.
Hi,
The "F16" on a Bosch indicates the door is open / unlocked. If it's happening during a wash it would suggest either a faulty door lock, faulty wiring or worse, a faulty main control board. The wash program should halt when this comes up but you should be able to restart it when the door is closed. As the cost of a new door interlock isn't overly expensive. The best way to fix this problem is to purchase a new lock and fit it.
Thank you !
Sounds like you need the electric "door interlock" replaced. It is a simple matter of seperating the front of the machine enough to unplug the interlock mechanism, remove the two screws holding the mechanism in place and remove it from the back, reverse the procedure to install the new "updated" replacement part (- Bosch #170935 btw. about $37.00 from Sears). - time: approx 1/2 hour if you aren't mechanically inclined.
Error "E3" on a Bosch front loader means there is a problem with the door. Either it is not closed properly (user error or a blockage) or the locking mechanism has a fault. Check to see that there is no object shoved in the latch hole (our 2yo just did that) preventing the door from closing properly. If it is not that, a technician is advised. I tried to get into the machine to fix out issue but could not get to where the issue is.
