How do I test lynx rotisserie motor is working vs there is electrical problem in the grill

My Lynx L36PSR rotisserie lights fine but the motor does not turn on. At one point it did turn on which made me think it may be a loose connection. There is no Lynx showroom nearby for me to bring in my motor to make sure it does work. Is there a way to test it? ie, any type of adapter so that I can plug it in and see if it works? Alternatively, how do I test that there is electric at the rotisserie jack connector?

Check the power with a multimeter. Check the motor for continuity with the multimeter. Disconnect the motor wires and connect it direct to a mains lead with wire nut marrettes

Lynx Sedona Rottiserie burner burns too hot - HELP! Checked the LP orifice. It is correct #56 short.

That is a nice unit.

The yellow flame indicates you have too much gas and not enough air. Just past the gas jet there is a tube called a 'Venturi', and you will often find they are partially blocked with spider nests. You can buy a special brush to clean them out. There is also an adjustment on them to add more air. Finally somewhere on the gas control valve there is a screw to adjust to amount of gas coming through. Normally you adjust on the lowest setting to establish a Low steady blue flame that is stable and doesn't blow out or 'pop' and go out.

Reach out to the company.

Rotisserie infra red value would come on,it comes on when I hold it in...

I'm assuming, that after you release the burner knob, the infrared burner goes out. You need to hold the knob in until the infrared burner gets glowing hot. If it doesn't remain lit after doing that, the thermocouple that keeps the burner lit, either needs cleaning due to a grease build up or replacing the thermocouple entirely. To clean it, alcohol and a cotton ball works well.

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Grill will not light

Try replacing the regulator if you get no gas flow, or very weak gas flow. If you have gas flow and you are trying to light the grill with the ignitor. The rotary piezo ignitions must click with each turn, if they don't then they are bad and need to be replaced. If you have a new lynx with the glow plugs, check to see if they are glowing, if they are glowing and the grill has gas and still won't light, then the glow plugs are not getting hot enough which means you are leaking current somewhere and have to trace everything down to find the short.
