I'm not using a land line with my Panasonic KX-TGD560 and only have my cell connected to it via Bluetooth. How do I clear the "Check Tel Line" message since I'm not using a "Tel Line"?

Check Tel Line means that the phone is not getting a dial tone. Unless you connect the KX-TGD560 base to a RJ-11 phone cord going to a RJ-11 jack with a working telephone service, this message will continue.

I've never used the cell phone link without having a land line connection. The Link-to-cell option for using the handset on Cell 1 (or Cell 2) may still work. You need to have a compatible cell phone close to the base. The phone needs to be positioned where it gets good signal strength. Test this yourself.

Thanks Cindy...I was afraid of that. The Cell part works just fine even without a landline phone connected.

You need to tell the phone system which line to use before it will dial. If you plan on using the landline, press the Talk button. If you plan to use the KX-TGD560 with a paired cell phone, you need to choose the Cell soft key. (If you have paired more than one cell phone to the KX-TGD560, you need to choose the specific phone and then press Select before the call is dialed.)

When you just press and hold the speed dial button, you have an option to edit the number. See page 30 of the manual available here: https://eng-ca.faq.panasonic.com/euf/assets/PDFs/Telephones/KXTG3760_TG743SK_TGD56x_PNQX8351YA_ENG_ESP.pdf .

Ann also check with your telephone line provider for the land line calls that the subscribed service has been activated that forwards the calling line identity to your land phone line. Could be it somehow has become lost accidentally by the phone company.

It would be worth them checking it has not fallen off your subscriber settings to eliminate it as a possible cause)

Guess this toggles it from 1 or 0 in the settings

My land lines are working but all my handsets say check tel line...no dial tone or response. Batteries are good according to tester. Anything I can do??

ck the red and green wire that goes to the system those 2 make the phones work just do the main main phone first , , it does not sound like the phones are broke you are not getting a dial tone due to no connection to the line itself

Panasonic phone says check tel line

Check cable conections from phone box on wall to base unit, make sure that the conectors are fully inserted. If possible plug a different phone into box to make sure that line is working. Hope this helps
