Look on the phone and the base. Most phones have a small almost hidden switch to turn off the ringer. It is usually a tiny slide switch on the side or back of the handset but I have seen them on the base also.
Try reset your wireless phones, Turn
off the phone, remove the AC adapter, press and hold the page/call
button that is on the phone and plug back your Ac adapter, this process
will help reset the phone and help fix all abnormalities.
On the Presidian DECT 6.0, there is a screen near the top, with a ring centered beneath. If you press on the top or bottom of the ring, you will make the phone ringer louder or quieter. The display will also show you a volume bar as you make this selection. When you are done, press the button in the center of the ring.
Hit the up or down arrow keys several times. (either key will work) and the ringer will rotate through Ringer off - Ringer low - Ringer high... one set will be a steady ring, the other set will be a warble ring. This works on the phone made for RadioShack with 5.8 GHz on the front and Cat. No. 43-155 under the battery in the battery compartment.
The main board in the base is bad, I was never able to pinpoint the bad component after changing a few circuit board parts.
I only saw this problem in the 2730.
The only fix I found while at the Sony Service Center was to replace the board.
Radio Shack sells a remote ringer.... You could hook that to the phone line and it would ring... Not the best fix but it would help... Even another phone in another room...
Sorry.... This problem frustrated me.... Wanted to find the fix... The board is expensive if avaliable....
After the batteries have been fully chaged, thephones will still not work until the they have been registered to the base unit. Just put each phone in the charging cradle in the base unit for about 10 seconds. The indicator light will blink during the registration. If you are lucky, this may solve the problem.
Try a simple thing, replace the phone cord that goes from the wall to the phone with a new one. That'll make sure you still have a good phone connection. Cords cheap.
You have a power transformer that plugs into the wall. See if you can find a replacement at a surplus store or Radio Shack (a different store) Take the old one with you so you can match the voltage/ampere and connector. If its new it will work fine. If its surplus, it's hit or miss.
If that does not work or you don't want to bother buy as new phone. With the constant upgrades you might find one with better features you'll like more. Who knows.
