Hi, zippys addons external hard disk is not recognized and data got corrupted. how to correct it. do i need to install drivers or 1 tb bought it back 5 years ago.

is it USB , E-sata , firewire , or Bluetooth connected, how"?

is it a 2.5" or 3.5"HDD inside, if large it needs a power pack or will never ever work lacking good power.
the maker zippy is gone, and super super extreme rare now.
zippy is gone and there are no drivers. (unless MS has them)
MS is microsoft, as in windows.
if running w10 most old USB devices older than 2010 are dead.
no drivers exists. on the old USB devices.
the drive must show up in (winkey+X) DISK MANAGER.

old old eternal hdd , some are so old for sure XP era, 2001 old the chip used inside the enclosure, USB>SATA is so old it now fails on
w7, w8/8.1/10 or windows 11 newer pc's.
this is common as nails, or sure w10 upgrades.
USB devices 2010 or newer work best.
no external drive told model, just zippy ,and super Nebular.
is it USB? , not told. yet.
