With the handset

While using the base speakerphone, press mute on the base to turn Off the microphone.

The sound of the dial pad can only be adjusted with the silent/mute button on the top left of the phone. If it is switched to silent then the dial pad will make not make sounds, if it is on loud then it will make sounds. There is no other way to adjust the sounds of the dial pad.
go to the sound option down to the right side and click on to sound icon and unmute it or go the control pannel and then go the soung settings and unmute it ....
navigate with the monitor buttons to the OSD (on screen display). menu button brings up the OSD. then use volume buttons to move around. there should be a mute option or indications by symbols how to unmute the sound option. if there is not, i would guess pressing two buttons at the same time might do it.
