The first link below gives detailed instructions; you have remove the base first, then a retention screw, then there is a release latch (the instructions include pictures).

To get general support for your specific system, visit the second link below (the above instructions were found by clicking "My Support Documents", clicking the "Support Docs" link next to Nina Micro ATX Case [under the Cases and Case Hardware section], and clicking "FAQs").

Good luck! :-) Source(s): Gateway Support - FAQs - "How do I remove and replace the case panel on a Nina case (open the case)?"

SOURCE: How do I open the case on a gateway (GM) MFATXNIN NMZ 300L ?

There's a security screw on the back that needs to be removed to allow the front latch to release the side panel. It's the stupidest most confusing case ever. The latch is very hard to see, it's part of the black plastic in the front, just push down on things until you see one move a bit. It's sort of like a car door handle movement.

SOURCE: RAM upgrade for Gateway model MFATXNIN NMZ 300L?

Hi,
The system takes PC133 SDRAM, as far as i know without performing a BIOS flash it can take up to 1GB (2x512MB) most of these PC's are restricted to 2x256 so a BIOS flash could be imminent in this case.

Good luck

PC Model#Gateway mfatxnin das 300x ...Something

ok you need to goto the microsoft web page
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545

but unfortunatly you need a xp disk to do this
i am unaware of anyway to fix it without the disk as you need to rewrite from the disk to get windows working
if it was an oem install then forget it you need the oem disk
if YOU installed xp just get a disk that is compatable with your version

(PLEASE READ THE WARNINGS ON MS PAGE FIRST)

Open the tower

Check the case to see if there is a button at the bottom of the back of the case. Sometimes the thin cases like that, similar to dell, open like a book.
