Qosmio X770 screen keeps blanking out flashing off and on.
Question edited for full 'make model (what it is)'.
Question moved from 'Hard Computers' to proper category.
Take off all the covers, remove and re-seat all the connectors to hard drive, memory and video card. May also be the inverter to the display.

we can not see your screen blank out. (exactly) and is normal new, with sleep mode ENABLED.
the first tests of many are to cold boot the PC and go to BIOS PAGE 1,
if BIOS WORKS AND MUST THE SCREEN MOST NOT FAIL. This is test 1 on all PCs that fail.
in fact any of the 20 modules inside can do that. failed
even all cables to PC inside and outside, so remove them all outside , not power pack
he huge battery too must be removed to make sure it is not shorting out and overloading the internal power DC RAILs.
C14 carbon dated 2011, no full model told like Toshiba Qosmio X770-11W -BTnnnn
windows 7 home , day1.
more tests,
big battery out, AC pack only, 11 year old batteries are all no good now, and for sure too the internal RTC CMOS coin cell is dead, and that makes BIOS go mad (nuts) and can not find its setting and even causing dead screen, due to GPU settings are lost for that fact.
the service manual should show the coin location, here I will tell you.
it is a special battery (coin) that solders down (sorry facts) and is type ML1220 , class rechargable
and the maker of the battery warns 5 year life span(panasonic and others)
I will stop here and not do the other 18 + tests
there are 20 part to the AVG laptop (complex options, etc) and any that short the card house falls.
due to shared resources (and power)
holding the power button for 10 fulls seconds, ends sleep if stuck and can, called the intel reset.
bingo for coin, this is the bottom corner of your actual MOBO. getting there is never fun,
bottom center .front. , blocked by bottom plastic , no hatch for it. no service manual I can find.
dynabook.com is support, now.
no socket , is there, and is not CR2032 as most PC are. it's special
toshiba loves to do this pain. it is their BAG.
