Just to clarify, the box (power brick) in the middle of the power cord is the power supply. With that said, there is a light on the box (may be green, blue, or some other color). Does it come on when you plug it in (assuming that the wall outlet or serge protector has power)? If it doesn't then the power cable needs to be replaced. If it does then there is something wrong with either the cable going between the box and the computer, the power connector, or the connector on the computer.

You need to get the power supply replaced. Bring it to a local computer shop and they can help you with that.

Processor will not start up

Be certain that you have power to it(live outlets).
Use canned air on the power supply. and maybe bang it around a little.
If this works time for a new power supply.

Just reinstall Windows, simply don't reformat your C: drive. All your docs and photos will still be there, you'll just have to search for them.

Green light flashing on back of unit near power cord also green light flashing on motherboard near power supply plug in.

I would suggest trying to replace the power supply. If that does not fix the issue, i would need to hear more about the computer.

Computer powers ok from one location but not in another

Try and replace both power supply's with higher volt supplies.
Those are too low requirements to hold up those computers.
Solution:
Get two higher voltage power supplys.

disconnect the power adoptor and remove the battery and hold down the power button for 10sec and than connect everything back again and that should work

Hi there, This my indicate quite a few hardware issues but to start,
If you have an expansion card requires its own molex connection to the power supply this may be the problem if the card isn't getting enough power or is unplugged. check and make sure all power cords are plugged in and not coming loose on the mobo and all other components, If you have access to another Power supply try swapping your power supply for a different one. i hope this helps and good luck.
