There are a couple of things to check. There is a water pump in the unit that draws the water and pushes it through a tube into the pad area. The tubes can get plugged or the motor on the pump can fail.

Bonaire evaporative cooler not pumping water on the pads

Make sure its on cooling not just on fresh air / vent setting. If the pads are not getting wet and the control is on cool fresh air, either A/ The machine is not filling with water or B/ The pump has failed.

Honeywell portable heater HCE322V manual

Honeywell has the manual for the HCE322V ceramic tower heater on the product page: http://www.honeywellstore.com/store/products/digital-ceramic-tower-heater-hce322v.htm . Click on the Manuals tab. The direct link to the manual is http://www.honeywellstore.com/store/images/pdf/HCE311-HCE322-HCE323-honeywell-heater-manual.pdf .

I hope this helps. Note: the manual covers a few different models. You should ignore any section about the HCE323; that model has a remote and a few other extras.

When I turn on my unit the cooling light flashes but nothing happens

Your unit may have a wall control which can set the Evap cooler to a pre fill mode time which fills the base with water then there is a pre wet mode which starts the pump to wet the pads. After both these functions have completed the fan will start. This could take up to 4 minutes before the fan starts and can be programmed out if not required.

Dry pad

Check for plugged holes in the top water distribution tray where the water from the pump exits to wet the pads.

Air coming out of an adobeair portable evap cooler isnt cold

paula298,
A new unit will take a while for the pad to become wet and more efficient. Remember, there may be two switches: fan and water pump. The unit must be full of water and the pump ON to work correctly.

If the unit has a water pump only setting, run the pump without the fan for about 20 minutes. That will get the pads nice and wet and you should get a good result. A rule of thumb in the desert is 20 to 25 degrees of cooling compared to the ambient air.

Don't use a cooler in closed area. The cooler will simply act like a room humidifier. Use in an open garage or porch for the best result.

I hope that helps.

Evap Cooler motor not cutting in

Look for a reset switch on the unit, press it and try again.

If there is no reset switch, unplug the unit entirely if possible, wait a minute and plug it back in.

Sometimes electronics get confused and need to start over. Let us know if that works.

Shouldn't it be cooler?

Just found at least one problem with mine. I pulled off the back screen and then pulled off the back cover by undoing the two screws at the top. There is a pad in there that rotates through the water reservoir. If this pad doesn't get wet, you won't get any cooling. My pad was bone dry. Turns out the wire for the motor that rotates the pad was disconnected from the front control panel. I reconnected the wire and now the pad rotates through the water reservoir. We'll see how this works.
