Problem getting a Full Cup of Coffee

We have had our Saeco Vienna De Luxe for almost 6 years now. We really love the wonderful coffee it makes. Lately we are having a problem getting a full cup/mug of coffee. We must set the cup size dial all the way right just to get a 1/2 cup. Also noticed water in the drip tray and under the machine after brew cycle finishes.
We always follow the cleaning instructions (including cleaning the brew group) in the video and instruction book provided with the coffee maker. Hope you can help us fix our problem.

OK! I lubed all the brew group moving parts and o-rings that I could see. This did not correct my problem. I still only get 1/2 cup of coffee. So, I am now ready to to tackle the task of replacing the o-rings. Where do I go to order required o-rings and is there a site/manual where I can find detailed instructions on replacing the o-rings?

hi, i'm having the same problem with a three year old machine (half full cup when set to largest cup size setting). after brewing, the machine also expels a poof of steam.

lubed all parts but no difference, did you ever fix your problem?

    thanks!

Besides descaling you need to lube the brew group, especially the bit that accepts the group nozzle. You might have a leaking boiler too, 6 years is pretty good for a vienna.

Remove the brew group and look for the two red o-rings on teh brass bit, smear some lube on it, they might need replacing by now, but luckily they aren't too expensive and readily available albeit a bit tricky to install, a good light and some patience is very important.

Saeco Vienna Superautomatica will not make a full cup of coffee

Hi,
I'm wondering if you had any luck solving this? After 3 years of great coffee, my machine is only making a 1/4 cup or so. All parts are clean. I'm guessing something on the circuit board that the dial is attached to....thanks!

The tray below the coffee cup holder has coffee in it all the time. is something leaking? love our machine

HI
The coffee residue is the result of the machine relieving its pressure into the drip tray. When it relieves its pressure, a little coffee residue with some water is released also, otherwise you would have an explosion of coffee inside your machine. If you are getting dry coffee in the drip tray you are getting an overcharge and that is not good. If you get residue under the drip tray, you have a blocked drain in the back of the machine just above the center of the drip tray.

Diverting all of the coffee flow into the bottom tray rather than the cup.

You might want to check and clean the coffee outflow spout ( the adjustable double spout on the outside of the machine) . If it is all plucked up that might be the cause.

Saeco Vienna De Luxe Espresso is leaking water

Hi,

It can be the steam valve or the boiler that is leaking.

Coffee tastes burnt

Hi Adrienne,

I think you have to replace your printed circuit card, make sure all cable inside the machine is on place.

Hope this will help you.

Saeco De Luxe Coarse Grind

You could have knocked it out of its shaft or worse, Cracked the shaft itself.

Settings could be off too, It fairly common. Recheck the chamber, and make sure the plastic casing isn't cracked and the grinder doesn't wabble at all. It should be fairly firm.

If it isn't firm, bad news, cracked shaft.
