Front knob on Frigidaire stove will not turn on.

If it happened on a single burner, I would suggest you replace the controller the knob is attached to. But since it happens on two front burners, a controller or panel connected to both burners needs to be replaced.. I suspect.

Replace the switch for that burner. (the shaft of the switch has the burner temp knob on it)

check the burner socket, it is likely that contact is being lost where the burner connects to the hardwired portion of the system (the socket). It is not unusual for the socket to "burn up" when there is a poor connection to the burner resulting in the burner being replaced and the new burner not working or working intermittently.

Hello, the switch controls the element ,if the element is staying on replace the switch.Please note any electrical repairs should be performed by an authorized service technician. good luck

two thiongs, you might have a bad switch( under control knob), or before you try that ck the old elemnt that you replaced, on the back of the limiter( the glass rod that goes through elemnt itlself), you'll see little letters 1a,2a,1b,2b.--- new replacemnets depending on age are wired differently, they too will have 1a2a1b2b but in different position. id check that first

MY OVEN IS WORKING, THE STOVE TOP DOSEN'T. tHE CLOCK SHUTS OFF WHEN i TURN THE BURNER KNOB OFF AND WHEN i TURN ONE BURNER ON THE CLOCK FLASHES 12:00 AND THERE IS A SHORT BUZZER SOUND COMING FROM BEHIND THE PANEL. CAN I FIX THIS MYSELF?
