Hey. I have an Olympus Camedia D-510 camera and it won't turn on. Whenever I try to turn it on by sliding the lens barrier until the flash pops up, its green LED blinks for about five seconds and then it turns off. I've tried using brand new AA batteries, but I haven't tried using an AC adapter because I can't find one that has a cable that fits and is at least 6.5 volts. Can you please help me fix this?
That really sound like bad batteries. You could try the new Lithium batteries, however this camera takes a proprietary battery, a CR-V3 - 1,400mAh, 3 volt battery and it is Lithium Ion. All here

Testimonial: "I'm not sure if the lithium batteries that you suggested to me will work with my camera. My camera uses four AA batteries and those lithium batteries are made to take up only two AA battery slots. Are you sure that if I buy two of them, they'll still work with my camera? Anyway, once I get my hands on an AC adapter that has a cable that fits and is at least 6.5 volts, I'll try turning on my camera with that plugged into it and see if it works or not."

It is a puzzle. This is supposed to be your battery (and it is :>) keep reading.

Ah, I see now. When I did a search for your manual, I went to Manuals Library. I said D-510, but showed me C-200.

The spec sheet say 4 x AA Nickel Metal Hydride. If you are using standard alkaline, they may not have enough milliamps. I think standard AA Lithium batteries may work, but it seems you can use 2 x CR-V3 which is 2 x AA wrapped together as mentioned in the Amazon advert and the C-200 manual. Or you can use 4 x single AA Lithium.
Trying to find a manual is hard work! This one is a horrible format and I have spent 10 minutes looking for Page 7, changing the Batteries

Aha, found it. 2 x CR-V3 none rechargeable Lithium. This page and the next one.

No alkaline (Ever Ready) or zinc carbon manganese (Duracell).
Glad we got there in the end.
