I have an old model sanyo GXEA THE SOUND IS INTERMITTENT WHEN HOOKED TO DIRECTV. WHEN I HAVE IT ON AN ANTENNA THE SOUND IS FINE HELP

Your main board needs replacing

Sounds like the TV do not save the LPM (Last Position Memory). Contact the authorized service centre. If the main system control memory IC has any fault, this might happen. Electro help

Use the power supply port. 5V adapter.

Sounds like you could have a bad soilder joint in the radio. If you hit the top or bottom of the radio does it help? If so its soilder. You match your antenna to your truck not the radio. You might want to recheck it.

Pick one:
RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) from nearby electrical/ electronic device.
Antenna misaligned to transmitter.
Antenna coax impedance mismatch.
Faulty connections.
Faulty antenna.
TV tuning.

If the OLD TV worked OK on same antenna it sounds like TV tuning or ANT socket/wiring loose.

Try:
Auto-tune TV with ant plugged in.
Get TVF (TV fundi) or friend to help align antenna.
Maybe a large bird sat on it.
Check coax for sunburn / deterioration. Renew if XX.

2 yr old 42 inch plasma.screen goes black,sometimes only half screen,sound is on.it does it after 1 hr of viewing, theres a greenish line in the middle of the black sreen when that happens,
