CRT Arch / Blue Tube, Now what do I do.

The Blue CRT ( Picture Tube ) has a short. You may be able to do a temp fix by turning down the Blue CRT drive level ( Located behind the front speaker grille )untill the lines disappear. But its only a temp fix. The Blue CRT will most likely need replacement.

This is blue CRT problem in tv as it is rear projection tv that has three CRTs red-green-blue inside to project color picture on front screen.
Blue CRT (tube) will be replaced to fix the issue and it is job of Pro because lots of adjustments are required after replacement of tube.
Local tv repair shop will help you for that.

Yes,the blue CRT is dead,arching indicate the high voltage not going through the CRT tube anymore.Try website like Tvrepairworld.com,check if u still can buy refurbish crt tubes.

I had the same kind of problem with a projection tv I had it was as simple as removing the front panel to expose the lightbulbs where there are 6 screws two for each color one for focus and one for power if after adjusting theese and going into the setup and adjust the color calibration it still does not work you want to make sure the three light bulbs on the bottom are alll working as missing one light can cause tints and the distortion your talking about

Sounds like a CRT is arching internally. to confirm remove the covers to have a view of the picture tube necks- in adimly lit room you should see bue arching in one of the tubes. (there are three piture tube with glass necks)

Your convergence ICs are likely bad, not typically a CRT or tube going out. A repair shop will fix for $200-400 or if you are very skilled you could repair yourself.

ok 2 things could be wroung one is u have a bad crt board one way to find out is swap the blue crt board with the red crt board and see if the blue comes up and now u have no red. now u can not swap it with green the green crt board is allways by it self noe if that does not work and u still have no blue it could be the picture tube or something from the video board that is blaking it out and without a scope u cannot trace it but if u are lucky it will be the crt board hope this helps u

You have a convergence problem. Go to the convergence menu or consult the owners manual on the convergence procedure and try to correct i if you can.. However if the red image is bowed and or not linear you will probably need to call a technician to repair your set. Most likely the red convergence output chip has failed. This is a common problem with all CRT ( picture tube) rear projectors. Good Luck. Happy Easter
