The continuity test features a beeper that sounds as long as a circuit is complete. The beeper allows you to perform quick continuity tests without having to watch the display. To test for continuity, set up the Meter as shown in Figure 4. Press E to turn the continuity beeper on or off. The continuity function detects intermittent opens and shorts lasting as little as 1ms. A brief short causes the Meter to emit a short beep.

Was there a Diode in the circuit?

A short beep sounds if the diode is good (< 0.85 V). A continuous beep sounds if the reading is ? 0.100 V. This reading would indicate a short circuit. The display shows "OL" if the diode is open.

and also

Enter MIN MAX recording mode. The Meter is locked in the range displayed before you entered MIN MAX mode. (Select the desired measurement function and range before entering MIN MAX.) The Meter beeps each time a new minimum or maximum value is recorded

Does the MAS830B have a circuit continuity function, please?

what you need is either continuity, the symbol for that is a solid arrow, or you can check the resistance by using the ohm's setting. the only difference between the two is that, when using continuity setting if you are reading it, it will beep if in fact the device you are testing has continuity. with ohm's no beep, but with ohm's if you read ol. or ul. that means infinity, meaning no continuity. so whatever the specs are for the device in question that you are working on, numbers will come up. hope this helped

Fluke

Try using compressed air to clean terminal block plugs (specially mA plug) - something is stuck there and unit thinks that you have your leads connected to mA and setting and will beep if you turn knob to any other function.

No beep on continuity mod

Needs new buzzer disc, or maybe buzzer disc fell out of its place and just repositioning it fixes the problem - this is the likely cause of your problem.Contact local Fluke authorised service centre or Fluke directly if you are in US and ask them for Audio Transducer (Part Number: 2041050). it should not be more than couple of dollars.
