My Bunn coffee maker won't shut water off!

if it's actually boiling, replace the high temp limit fuse on the top of the tank on the inside rear of the brewer. may be stuck shut. if it's just overflowing the container, recallibrate by using a 64 ounce measuring cup and the instruction on the inside of the front panel

If this is a pour-over coffeemaker, you can't do anything about the flow. It's just gravity pushing the water out of the reservoir. But you can try using a coarser grind of coffee. If the grind is too fine (if you grind whole beans for too long in a blade grinder, for instance, or if you're using espresso grind coffee), the water can't flow through quickly enough and it backs up and overflows. Make sure your coffee is ground for a drip coffeemaker.

Measure the amount of water in the decanter your using.Find another coffee pot to use.Make sure to use your de-liming spring.

Dunkin Donuts is a finer ground coffee and the water comes through so quickly that it isn't absorbed quick enough so you don't get the full flavor and it causes an overflow. If you will call Bunn Customer Service, a new flow restrictor can be sent to you to resolve this problem.

An overflow can occur when using certain brands of coffee that are finer ground or using a water softener, bottled water, reverse osmosis, or filtered water. If you will call Bunn Customer Service, you can get a flow restrictor sprayhead which will eliminate this issue.

Open the front panel, there is a set of instructions on it, you will have to make sure the board is set to program and not lock, before you adjust.

check the timer on the machine. it could be a mechanical or electronic timer. the timer's output goes to a water solenoid valve. could be the solenoid itself is faulty, but it all seems to point towards the timer - because you say it works fine normally. Is this a bunn coffee maker?
