I am looking to download Life View Philips software

Just to be clear, we are FIXYA, we aren't Philips, we just have a category for handy filing.

The software isn't available online, just drivers. You would have to contact Philips direct.

Red light blinks one long and 4 shorts

Hello,

your TV has developed a power problem.

You can try to fix it yourself or take is to a repairman.

Go straight to the power supply board. Look for any bulged capacitor or burnt component. If you don't find any, get a meter and continuity test to read the board so that you can detect the defective component and make necessary replacement.

Good luck.

Hello the problem with your TV card is when you install in your pc you don't make a shortcut in your desktop try to go the local drive where you installed your TV card then in program files find for the folder of Philips then open it or double click the folder. Then you will see there the .exe file where shortcut of the program where used to run your software. Or right click on that icon and then click copy and minimize the folder then on your desktop right click and click paste. Hope it can help with your problem.

The philips universal remote codes for my apex tv don't wok. Since I put new batteries in none of the codes for apex tv work

Hello
Philips universal remote control cannot be synchronised with Apex Digital TV. There is no code for Apex with it. There are very rare remote controls which have codes with Apex Digital. Comcast On Demand Custom DVR 3-Device Universal Remote Control is one amoung them. Codes for Apex Digital Tv; with this remote are:
0748, 0765, 0767
Buy this one. It can be sychronised with most of the present devices. OK.

I have a 32md357 magnavox tv. a dvd disk is stuck in TV dvd player. How do I remove it?

Hello

Please try turning off the tv... wait about 30 seconds, PRESS AND HOLD THE EJECT BUTTON then turn the tv back on again. You can let up on the eject button as soon as it starts to spit out your dvd. This is a standard way to remove disks.

I hope this helps

Lost remote codes & how to manual

Hello everyone,

OK Listen Up! `=] I found the solution to everyone's problem.

Got to this website and click on the brand name of your universal remote (Philips, RCA, whatever).

Next, download the corresponding file with all of the remote codes. This will be a great help. It comes with all of the universal codes for most TV sets, and also instructions on how to setup and install the remote code.

But, remember....you must be patient. The PDF file is very huge so the remote code is not going to jump out at you and shout "HERE I AM!". You have to READ and look for it.

The way I found my universal code was by pressing the channel up button (over 300 times, literally) until the channel on the tv changed. That is what the instructions told me to do, and that's what I did. So, when all else fails, just FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! I know it may be long and painful, but trust me it was worth it! I got my remote control to finally work!

Good Luck!

Gary M.

- By the way, sorry for the long reply. I tend to babble a lot. `=]
