We didn't have heat for more than a week and shut the water off and on and now the water softener had a lot of water in it and we don't know if it works. Is there a way to check?

check settings, You could bypass softener for a day and night and if regenerates it is defective and should be replaced. Do you have any dripping faucets or leaking water heater.

There is a PRCD safety device that shuts the unit down if a fault electric current is detected. The device trips if water gets to locations that could cause electrocution. When it dries out it works and then stops when it gets wet. You need to check for air leaks using soapy water in a spray bottle.

Remove the vent from the back of your dryer and check for air flow from the dryer. Also note the temperature. It should feel fairly warm. It everything seems ok there then the hose is clogged. This will cause the heat to back up and keep the heater off. You will have to clear the vent line or make sure it is not kinking when you install it and push the dryer into place. Fabric softener sheets can also cause problems. The LG dryers use thermistor for sensing the heat. Whether you are using auto dry or not It has to know when to cycle the heater. Also the lint filter can become clogged with the residue from the softener sheets. You can wash the screen with soapy wash water and dry with a towel.

If the cold water pumps from the bottom of the unit, you may have a problem with the one-way valve. Normally, this valve opens when the water is hot enough to pump up to the coffee basket, but closes to prevent the hot water from flowing back into the reservoir. If this valve is sticking, that could produce the symptoms you describe. Without actually seeing this unit, I don't know whether the valve itself can be replaced. This may require replacing the whole machine.

It depends on which hose you are referring to. If you are referring to the DRAIN it may have come off by the softener valve it goes back on the drain connection on the side of the valve (use a hose clamp). If it came off by where the softener drains it goes back into wherever the softener was draining (laundry tub, standpipe trap, floor drain)? If the hose came off by the connection for the salt tank it should be replaced. If you don't know, unplug the softener for now or it may flood again and call your local dealer.

cheak your breakers first turn breaker off then on again

if the machine is filling on it's own you have to replace the water valve located on the back of the washer.when you shut off the water and turn it back on sediment in the pipes can get disturbed and flow into the valve,when the valve goes to fully close it can't because sediment is inside the valve and stopping it from fully closing,the only way to fix this is to replace the valve,you don't want to come home to a flooded out home because of the valve.whenever you write about your appliances send the model number so i can look up your model and give you the part number,when you go to your parts store,give them the model number off of the machine and they will sell you the correct part.

That typically means the softener is in a regeneration cycle. When the valve is switching cycles it quite frequently will have the noise you describe. The regeneration cycle should be set for 2am.

There is a 7 day wheel available for this valve so if you irrigate on specific days, and you need it to cycle on specific days, you have the ability to do it without the softener cycling at the same time as watering schedule.
