Kitchenaid Side by Side Refrigerator water dispenser line replacement.
Trying to replace the water dispenser line on my Kitchenaid Refrigerator. Had no real problems getting the old line out. The problem now is trying to install the new one. I have tried feeding it from the bottom but it doesn't seem to want to go where it is needed to go. The model number is KSRG25FVMS01. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I assume this started after the filter replacement and not before. The filters are charcoal based and will need to be flushed through the dispenser (approx. 2 gals) this should clear up as it normally does. Keep in mind that even the ice will have to be dumped also.
the line is freezing up if you pull the bottom drawer out of ref side you will see a rolled up plastic line they use it as a resovoir tank so you get cold water if you have a vent in bottom left side close it i have put insulation over coil that fixed problem and turn down thermostat if milk and other stuff is freezing you will have to replace cold control
Probably replace the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in. Disconnect the water line to the dispenser there and see if it keeps dripping when you try the dispenser.
you may need to replace the water inlet valve. it is a dual valve, one side for water and one side for ice. part #2304833. see the attached breakdown #10. perhaps this will help.
Technically you can't,any that are made to be changed have the tube running through a sleeve you pull one out and slide another in but this one isn't made to be changed, you have to get the whole door ($700)unfortunately most newer Kitchenaid refrigerators doors are made this way.
