Hi, Flashing red light in Sony tv indicates that tv got some internal problem and went on protection mode to avoid further damage. Now it needs service/ repair. Blinking red light also has an error code that has info about possible cause of problem, let me know how many times red light is blinking after 3 seconds ling pause and model number of your tv to provide you helpful info. Use a volt meter (may try one at radio shack) to see if there is any voltage in the battery. Damaged batterys will sometimes short and the meter will tell if you need a new battery.
The high voltage power supply is going bad on both units.. Pretty soon, it won't power up at all. For a fact.
Don't try to replace the power supplies, TV's are too cheap.
2. Press and hold down select and the red button together until the red light at the top of your Sky remote control flashes twice.
3. Press tv again
Then enter the remote control code using the number keypad. The red light will flash twice if a valid code has been entered.

4. Point your Sky remote control at your TV and press the Power button. If this turns the off as you'd expect, then the tv should be set, press Select and the remote should work
5. If the TV does not turn off press tv, then press the Power button again, repeat this process until the TV turns off, when the TV turns off press Select.
